Answers
1)  Q What do I do if my child's transportation changes?
A
Please send a note or call the office for any transportation change. Please contact the office before 2:00 to make any changes. If we do not have a note, your child will be dismissed the normal way. This is for your child's protection.
2)  Q Do I check in through the office if I would like to visit Turner?
A
If you would like to visit Turner, please check in through the office. PISD requires each visitor to submit his/her driver's license or a state ID as a form of identification in order to receive a visitor pass. This policy is for the safety of the students, faculty, and staff at Turner.
3)  Q What is the dress code for Turner?
A
Students are required to follow the district dress code while attending Turner Elementary. Turner spirit shirts can be worn on Fridays. You can find the link for the district dress code on the Turner home page.
4)  Q What do I need to do if my child is absent?
A
Please send a written note with your student explaining the reason for the absence.
5)  Q What will happen if my student is tardy?
A Parent(s) must sign their child in at the front desk when he/she arrives tardy. Excessive tardies will result in a phone call from a school administrator.
6)  Q What time will my child get out on early dismissal days?
A
We dismiss at 12:05 on early dismissal days. AM Pre-K will dismiss at 9:30.
7)  Q What is Wild About Math?
A
All year 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students will work on their math facts to earn Excellent Explorer, Nifty Navigator, and Awesome Adventurer certificates.  Awesome Adventurers will participate in the bowling/pizza party during May.
8)  Q If my child is a car rider, where do I pick him/her up?
A
Pre-K through 1st will dismiss on the gym side, which is the Yellowstone side by the park. If you have an older child that has a younger sibling, they will also be dismissed on the Yellowstone side.
2nd through 4th grade will dismiss on the cafeteria side, which is the Lily side.
*Please have your child's name displayed in your car to help make car dismissal run smoothly.
*Please do not walk up and get your child. If you would like to park in the grass and wait at the park, please make a transportation change for your child to be a "walker" to Yellowstone.

A
The cafeteria and front doors open at 7:10 AM each day. Students will enter the building and sit in their designated hallway until they are picked up by a teacher at 7:35 AM.The tardy bell rings at 7:45 AM. Students are expected to be in their classroom before the tardy bell.
